"16th INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF ART IN SMALL FORMAT 20X20cm"  2026

DESCRIPTION

The Galician-Portuguese Friendship and Arts Association aims to promote artists and creators from around the world in the categories of Painting, Drawing, Engraving, Sculpture, Tapestry, Photography, Ceramics, Stained Glass, Installation, Graphic Design, Computer Graphics and other techniques, without restrictions of nationality, age, education or religion. All participating works must be original and not infringe on third-party rights.

AAAGP invites all national and international artists to participate in the 16th International Small Format Art Salon 20x20cm, aiming to bring together as many works as possible with varied styles, techniques and themes. The 20x20cm works may be accompanied by a frame or other adornments that highlight their originality, as long as the work itself remains this size. We want innovation: For example, the artist may present an old door with a 20x20 hole, hollow or worked. A composition with 20x20 canvases. The more creativity, the better.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

By July 25, 2026, send to asociacion.aaagp.pt@gmail.com – Registration Form and photograph of the work.

You must mention the price of the work if you wish to sell it. AAAGP will not charge any percentage on sales.

SENDING THE WORK

August 31, 2026 – Deadline for delivery of works

Must arrive in condition to be exhibited (ready to hang)

Mention on the form the artist's name, title of the work and technique

Send the works to the following address:

or possibly deliver at the Centro de Artes to the attention of Conceição Ruivo.

PRIZES

In this 16th edition, the selection and prize-awarding jury will consist of five accredited art artists.

8 (eight) prizes will be awarded:

1st Prize: Gold Medal and a Diploma

2nd Prize: Silver Medal and a Diploma

3rd Prize: Bronze Medal and a Diploma

Honorable Mention Gold – Medal and a Diploma

Honorable Mention Silver – Medal and a Diploma

Honorable Mention Bronze – Medal and a Diploma

Creativity Prize – Medal and a Diploma

Popularity Prize: Honorable Mention and a Diploma. This prize is awarded by the public present on the opening day.

Note: All participating artists receive an Official Certificate of Participation, duly stamped and signed by the Curator and President of AAAGP – Conceição Ruivo.

PROMOTION

Catalogue – A book will be published, in A5 size, titled "16th International Small Format Art Salon 20x20cm".

On each artist's individual page will be a photo of the work and the website, taking their name and work to several continents.

Each artist will receive a free book.

The winners of the previous year's Salon will be referenced in this edition.

PUBLICITY

Creation of a press release for promotion in the media.

Internet marketing on art web portals, Facebook, Youtube, etc.

NOTE:

The Galician-Portuguese Art Association is not responsible for damage, loss, deterioration and theft or unforeseen situations during transport and while in its possession.

Any material or monetary benefit will go to the artist.

It is noted that in case of withdrawal, the amount spent will not be refunded. Only if there is a plausible justification supported by documentation. Even then, 30% of the amount paid goes to the organization to cover expenses incurred up to that point.

Works that are not prepared to be hung will not be exhibited.

After the exhibition ends, the works will be returned, along with the Certificate of Participation and the CATALOGUE. Within the country, the return shipping is cash on delivery. For international shipping, the cost is €15.

The Organization reserves the right to decide on unforeseen cases or omissions in these Regulations.
